Custom water table and seating planters for De Wijtshage care home in Rumst

For the new patio of De Wijtshage care home in Rumst, we made a triangular water table and organically shaped planters in corten steel, fully custom-made. The outdoor space was designed by landscape architect KM Tuinplanning from Kontich.
Water, greenery and seating come together on one patio, right between the buildings.
A water table as the centrepiece
The triangular water table is the heart of the patio. Small fountains add movement and a calming sound, and a wooden seating edge runs all the way round. Residents can sit close to the water and enjoy it together.

Planters you can sit on
Around the water table are raised planters with a flowing, organic shape, also finished with a hardwood seating edge. This brings the planting to a height where residents can easily see, smell and touch it, and every planter is also a place to rest for a moment.

Custom work to the design
Because shapes and dimensions had to match the landscape architect's plan exactly, each element was made to measure. That is typical of care and public space projects: standard products where possible, custom work where the design calls for it. Also see our water tables and planters with bench.
