Corten steel is a weathering steel that forms a natural rust layer outdoors. This layer gives the stairs their recognisable orange-brown colour and protects the underlying steel from further deterioration. On delivery, the Corten steel may still be steel-grey or only partially rusted. Through rain and outdoor air, the surface gradually develops its warm rust colour, giving each staircase a unique, natural character. Use and placement The Corten steel stairs are ideal for bridging a level difference along a slope, embankment, driveway or garden path. Place the stairs on a stable, well-compacted surface and secure them with the included mounting bolts for a safe, sturdy setup.
