Geroba provides Nerdland with XXL bee hotel
Together with BIG BEAR Studio bv we created this impressive XXL bee hotel in corten steel for the Nerdland festival at Domein Puyenbroeck.
A real eye-catcher in the shape of the recognisable Nerdland "N", but above all a project with impact.
More than an eye-catcher
The bee hotel stands out for its shape, but its function is at least as important:
- supporting local biodiversity;
- educational value around science and nature;
- a permanent installation on the estate.
Craftsmanship in corten steel
The XL bee hotel is fully custom-welded in corten steel, a material that combines a robust character with a warm, natural rust colour that weathers beautifully outdoors. A special word of thanks to our welder Aleksander, who left his mark on this project with this piece of craftsmanship.
On display at Domein Puyenbroeck
The bee hotel got a permanent spot at the Nerdland grounds and can be admired by all visitors. Lieven Scheire and Hetty Helsmoortel looked into this special project and its impact on nature and biodiversity.
