Why choose Corten steel?
Corten steel is a weathering steel that forms a natural rust layer outdoors. This layer gives the mailbox its recognisable orange-brown colour and protects the underlying steel. Through rain and outdoor air, the surface gradually develops its warm rust colour, giving each mailbox a unique character.
Placement
The Litru is a freestanding mailbox that you place on a solid, flat surface or anchor in place. Its spacious design means larger letters and magazines fit easily into the box.

For most models, yes. In the personalisation block on this page you choose:
- a laser-cut house number and/or name, in the Stardos, Quesat or Post no Bills font;
- LED lighting behind the number or name (cool white);
- a RAL colour other than the standard colour;
- a different position for the door or hinge.
The surcharge is shown with each option. A personalised mailbox is made to order in about 6 weeks. Need a different size or a mailbox for an apartment building? See custom mailbox.
A freestanding mailbox has holes in the bottom to fix it to concrete or another solid base; models without an open underside come with a separate base plate. For a solid base there is a concrete base of 50 x 50 x 5 cm with plugs and fixing bolts. A wall-mounted mailbox is fixed to the façade.
Lockable mailboxes come with 2 keys. A replacement lock with 2 keys and a protective mat are available under accessories.
