Corten steel is a weathering steel that forms a natural rust layer outdoors. This layer gives the parcel mailbox its recognisable orange-brown colour and protects the underlying steel. Through rain and outdoor air, the surface gradually develops its warm rust colour, giving each mailbox a unique character.

For most models, yes. In the personalisation block on this page you choose:
- a laser-cut house number and/or name, in the Stardos, Quesat or Post no Bills font;
- LED lighting behind the number or name (cool white);
- a RAL colour other than the standard colour;
- a different position for the door or hinge.
The surcharge is shown with each option. A personalised mailbox is made to order in about 6 weeks. Need a different size or a mailbox for an apartment building? See custom mailbox.
A freestanding mailbox has holes in the bottom to fix it to concrete or another solid base; models without an open underside come with a separate base plate. For a solid base there is a concrete base of 50 x 50 x 5 cm with plugs and fixing bolts. A wall-mounted mailbox is fixed to the façade.
Lockable mailboxes come with 2 keys. A replacement lock with 2 keys and a protective mat are available under accessories.
